Rivet’s first puzzle was a workshop pump that had fallen silent. Instead of guessing, Rivet laid its pieces across the bench and followed the path of the water, one small connection at a time.
The trouble turned out to be a tiny stuck part. When the pump began to sing again, Rivet kept the habit that had brought it back: be patient, be gentle, and understand a thing before trying to change it.
